Sooo, you studied Marketing or IT.  Then you got your first junior role and did the hard yards to progress up the corporate ladder only to eventually wake up one morning and say "I don't want to do this anymore".   

 

You are not alone, many professionals get into the industry because it seemed like a good idea when they were young or for any of the other usual family or peer pressures.

We are only interested in industry professionals with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Tech, Product or Digital Creative, preferably in the Australian or New Zealand market place.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop recruiting strategies to help us fill our clients hiring needs and find the right candidates for technical positions

  • Help create and evolve job descriptions in partnership with our clients.

  • Review incoming applications to match them with job requirements

  • Source candidates via databases, social networks, niche platforms (such as GitHub and Stack Overflow), etc. 

  • Perform pre-screening calls to confirm their qualifications

  • Select the most suitable candidates and refer them to hiring managers

  • Facilitate meetings between hiring managers and applicants

  • Help to interview candidates using various methods (i.e. skills assessments and structured interviews)

  • Inform the candidates of the hiring decisions

  • Compose offer letters as well as negotiate salary and benefits

  • Gain feedback continuously from hiring managers

  • Participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with IT professionals

 

You’re perfect for this role if you:

 

  • Enjoy the challenge of taking part in complex technical projects 

  • Are able to work closely with hiring managers to find the best candidates for all IT-related positions

  • Are a great communicator who is focused on deadlines and results 

  • Have hands-on experience with various interview formats and have ideally hired for your own technical team.

Skills and qualifications:

 

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven work experience within a tech environment

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

  • The ability to negotiate with both clients and candidates

  • Strong social aptitude and ability to build relationships

  • Technical knowledge to be able to understand and explain requirements & qualifications

 

The following would also be a significant plus:

  • A degree in business, marketing, psychology, information technology, or a technical field

  • Organizational & project management skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the industry

  • The understanding of modern social & candidate-sourcing networks

Marketing and Comms

This role would suit someone who has both a passion for marketing and a keen interest in startups or early stage venture capital. Due to the nature of partnering with a diverse range of Startups the role will be highly varied, additionally, you will get to broaden your network with exposure to both founders and investors at frequent social events. 

Human Resources Consultant

We are looking to expand our HR consultancy offerings specifically to Startups.  Applicants whom have provided an HR Manager role within a Startup to SME size technology business would be ideal.

Candidate Manager

The key purpose in this role is to provide crucial support in the sourcing, screening and management of candidates relationships.

After an initial training period the role will be predominantly home based and would be an ideal fit for a “return to work” parent with previous Software Development / IT Recruitment experience or a current Software Development Student whom can only commit to 20 hours per week.
